DILAX: a new member of the INIT Group

The new group member was officially welcomed at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin: INIT’s CRO Martin Timmann and DILAX CEO Wolfgang Keller are looking forward to their future collaboration.

The passenger counting systems and analysis tools from DILAX are in use worldwide. They are used to record the utilisation of vehicles or public spaces and to enable customers to react to current events in real time. Over 550,000 DILAX sensors have been installed worldwide. 

The integration of DILAX into the INIT Group will result in numerous advantages for both companies. DILAX brings additional development and research capacity in the areas of sensor technology and software. “We have known INIT for a long time as a partner for projects in the transport sector, but also as a strong competitor. Therefore, we know in which areas we can become jointly even more effective and stronger,” explains Wolfgang Keller, CEO of DILAX.

INIT CFO Dr Marco Ferber adds: “The acquisition of DILAX gives us access to more than 300 longstanding customers and strengthens our position on the railway market in Europe and North America. At the same time, we can jointly utilise synergies in the development of new hardware and software products.”
